Ramblings of an Ascending Mind

This ascension thing really means business! Linear time is super difficult to manage. I used to have a photographic memory, but now I have to consistently remind myself of the day of the week and date. It’s starting to feel like everything, everywhere, all at once. I have felt moments of this for the past decade, but now it’s a normal Tuesday. Or is it Monday? And the physical symptoms are just weird, like a numb tongue and seeing with my eyes closed. It’s not just you.

The one thing that still seems like it’s under my control (free will) is my inner mental landscape. As I change my thoughts my outer circumstances change, almost instantly. I need to really be aware of what I dwell on mentally and emotionally. People generally assume that emotions can’t be chosen, but that isn’t true. Thoughts and emotions are tied, so changing one changes both. Try it.

Thoughts are electric (masculine energy) and emotions are magnetic (feminine energy). Most of the new age movement focused on the masculine energy of thought with vision boards and intentions, so that covers what vibe you are sending out. The experiences that show up in your life are drawn in magnetically by emotion. You can see the issue. Sending out good intentions and following that with feelings of disappointment when the intentions aren’t yet fulfilled will magnetically draw in disappointing situations. I have heard many teachers say “you have to be grateful”, but no one explains why. Magnetic (emotional) energy draws things to you. Staying in gratitude draws in better things.

Speaking of becoming a mind-centric culture… In just two generations we went from “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade” to “you can be whatever you want if you just put your mind to it”. What a difference! The first one is a coping skill, and the second is a flat-out lie. I know a lot of focused people and nobody’s life turned out as they planned. No wonder depression is so rampant. Life happens, and our free-will choice lies in how we respond. How you respond is what we call “character building”, but without a doubt, life will always provide character building opportunities. Lemonade all around!

There is great focus on the mind-body connection, but it is usually presented as a one way thing with the mind in charge. The connection is definitely both ways. When the body is struggling it greatly affects the quality and clarity of thought. If our diet and lifestyle don’t support the body our thoughts and emotions are greatly affected. Thoughts and emotions are the inner environment of epigenetics. As Bruce Lipton tells us, the environment changes gene expression. You can change your environment. Support the body, disciple (direct) the mind, and be grateful for that ability.

I’m hoping some of these ramblings will spark some pondering of your own. Ready for exploring the unknown? You won’t be alone. We got this!
