The Most Real Thing

In our inverted reality we have taken the least real and made it most important, while making the most real thing least important. So backward. The least real thing is money. Fiat currency (paper, backed only by government say so) was bad enough, but crypto is just digits on a screen. A friend of mine uses the word “pretend” instead of “money”. Try it… “I wish I had more pretend” “I’m low on pretend this month.” That will let you know how real money is.

The most real thing is our body, but it is considered least important. The Western world considers the body to be a trash can or an amusement park, yet it is the most valuable possession we have. Mental health isn’t separate from the body. One more time – mental health is not separate from physical health. We have gone so far afield we actually believe we can live happily on a diet of fast food and alcohol, thus all the anxiety, depression, and suicide. We are what we eat, and harming the body with poor diet, drugs, and alcohol is bound to affect what we call mental health. Did you know the surgeon general in the USA just recommended a warning label on alcohol? Marijuana is next, with any luck. People simply aren’t aware of the consequences… substances limit REM sleep, which is when we heal.

2025 is set to be a wild and crazy year, but staying focused on the present by supporting the body is a sure way to rise above the chaos. Give it a try… go for a short walk and focus on your breath moving oxygen through your body… dance and sing just to feel the movement from the inside… lay still and feel your heartbeat. Just be present to appreciate your body. Taking a few minutes each day to be fully present with your body gives it the love and attention it deserves. It, not me? Yes it, not you. Your consciousness is eternal, your body is just playing host for this one life. Be a good guest.

Anytime you feel overwhelmed always return to body-based presence. As you return your attention to what is really the most important thing, you will just feel better. Take sanity breaks to feel your breath and heartbeat. Consider setting a timer, so you can fully focus on your body for a full 3 minutes at a time. Be aware of your own stress signature, and stop it from escalating by being fully present with your body. There is no greater rebellion against the old paradigm.

Build a relationship with your body. Support your body – health is true wealth. Your body is the only one guaranteed to be with you for this entire life, until death do you part. Having a body is the most amazing part of being human, and it is the most real thing in this world.
