Re-post: Fast Track

You have only one job on the road to spiritual awakening: Make room. Spirit yearns for us just as much as we yearn for Spirit. Instead of chasing the Light, simple clear out the dark and the Light will fill the space. Shadow work (ego work) is our only job, everything else just flows naturally.

The amazing part is the lengths people will go to to avoid ego work. It’s impressive. Everything from addiction, to denial, to spiritual bypassing all in an effort to maintain the illusion of self. The body wants to live, but also accepts death. The ego, on the other hand, won’t even consider death, and will pull every dirty trick around to stay in complete control. You are NOT your ego, you are the observer. Your ego works for you, not the other way around, as long as you remain aware. Know Thyself. Know your ego’s tricks, and it no longer controls you.

Avoidance, in its many forms, is essentially an unwillingness to be fully present and aware. Granted, this is a skill, and takes practice, since most of us weren’t taught by example as children. Still, it is completely possible to learn at any age, with willingness and dedication, as would any new skill. Being fully present and aware also requires you to fully feel emotion as it occurs, and to take full responsibility for your actions. Two more things people aren’t accustomed to.

Many people have seen far enough past the boundaries of the ego that they run toward the Light. This has created an interesting phenomenon called spiritual bypassing. Basically, these folks try to go straight from initial awareness (just waking up) to enlightenment, without wading through the muck of the ego on the way. Please don’t do this. It’s a waste of your time, and it’s really annoying to those actually doing the work. More importantly, it always backfires. You can develop a “spiritual ego”, which only adds to the ego work when it all comes crashing down like a house of cards.

How do you know if you’re really doing ego work? It’s messy. It’s terrifying, it’s humbling, and it isn’t any fun. As you get better at it, the processing gets faster, but it still sucks. So why would anyone want to do it? Well, the more ego stuff you remove, the more room you make for the Light to fill. This allows your frequency to raise, your body to heal, and Love to occupy every cell. Ultimately, this results in your Higher Self being able to descend into your body. True Divine Union.

The first step is always awareness. I’m not saying you can never take a night off again, I’m simply saying be aware and be honest with yourself. “I’m feeling overwhelmed, and consciously choose to have a glass of wine and watch a movie” is totally different than just always having wine with dinner to “wind down”. Numbing out (by any means) is something we all do, but you may be surprised how often you do it, once you really observe yourself. Stop justifying, stop denying, and really own your every action. It’s empowering… after the initial shock. Once you own it, you can change it.

Once you have glimpsed into the hold your ego has, it’s time to get to work. Everyone is different and will be best served by a different path, just be sure the one you choose really works with the ego, instead of bypassing it. There are many options, from psychotherapy to support groups, and tons of valuable books on the subject. Just pick a path, and get to work… on yourself.

You have one job.

Re-post: Awakening

32279663 – eye

This word has been floating around quite a bit for the past few years, but what does it really mean? What does a spiritual awakening look like? Well, you won’t get a straight answer because they are all different, just as we are all different. They range from a shift in perspective to physical sensations, they can be gradual or sudden, pleasant or terrifying. The one thing they have in common is that you are different from that point on, forever changed.

The thing about awakening that seems to be overlooked is that it isn’t a one-time occurrence. Poof! You’re spiritually awakened! Well, yes, it certainly feels that way, at least until the next one hits. I had my first awakening when I was 4-years-old, before I had developed a real sense of self, so spirituality just naturally became part of my identity. This made my youth a bit of a struggle, but compared to those waking up later in life, I think it was the easy road. Adults spiritually awakening for the first time, after investing so much time and energy in building a worldly life, can be a traumatic experience, especially when it’s sudden.

One of the most dramatic experiences is usually referred to as a Kundalini Awakening. It is usually characterized by physical tingling and heat, feelings of bliss and unity with all things, and the sudden ability to feel everyone around you (physical empathy), and these things last for hours or even days. That part is all well and good, but then you crash back down to this life and have to try to make sense of it all, along with integrating these new skills into your life. Functioning in this world as a new physical empath can be tough. It’s a whole deal.

More common, is remembering you are here for a reason, a spiritual mission, or suddenly becoming aware you are more than your mind and body. Most of us theoretically believe we have a soul, but when it becomes a deep knowing it’s just different than a mental theory. This will start you on a quest of self-discovery, a hero’s journey, and trust me, you’ll never get bored. “Know thyself” is the prime directive for the mystery schools for a reason.

At the moment (2014) the masses are experiencing a shift in perspective. People are no longer pacified by being fed misinformation, and being told how to think and feel. The world is beginning to question everything. Why are we here? What is money, really? Do we really need religion? Why is power not shared? It may seem small at this point, but awakening builds rapidly, especially now. The really important thing to remember is that this is happening to the majority of humans, not just a few of us anymore.

I have picked up a few tricks along the way for handling spiritual awakenings, and I hope you find them helpful to your journey.

Community – Find the others. You are NOT alone. The beauty of the internet allows us to connect with others going through the same thing.

Daily Practice – Do something to feed your soul and empty your mind everyday. It doesn’t matter if it’s meditation, gardening, running, etc. You know what clears your mind, just make it a priority.

Unplug – Stop listening to the news, reading beauty magazines, and even asking your friends for advice. Spiritual growth is an inside job, and you need some peace and quiet to hear your own inner guidance.

Surrender – The only reason change is hard is because we cling to the past. The old you is gone, and fighting to get it back is where the suffering comes from. This process isn’t something we can control, and it is guided by a higher power. Trust the path.

* Empathy On Purpose *

I would like to reverse-engineer empathy. We generally think of empathy as an emotional, or even physical, state. It is that, but only after we silence the mind. If the mind has reasons (beliefs or opinions) not to feel, then we just don’t. We have become so entrenched in our thoughts that we have forgotten the wisdom of the heart and the body. As an act of mental mastery, we will work it from the head down.

First a few terms… Sympathy is feeling for someone. No one likes receiving sympathy (pity), and we should probably stop doing it entirely. Empathy is feeling with someone. Empathy is walking a mile is some else’s shoes, and feeling the weight of that burden. Compassion is empathy with a little emotional distance. Compassion allows you to watch someone’s journey (even your own) with a respectful distance, allowing love without codependency or judgement. Compassion is the goal, but first it requires a journey through empathy.

A hundred years ago, we could just tell our children to ‘walk a mile in another person’s shoes’, and they could just do that. The mind wasn’t cluttered and overwhelmed as it is now, so imagining another journey was easier to do. When was the last time you just imagined something? Today, we expect constant input and entertainment. If we aren’t being entertained, we need to be productive, right? All this thinking, with no imagination. Tragic, really. Who would have guessed all that daydreaming I got in trouble for in grade school would someday be a skill.

Let’s begin by imagining someone else’s life. As soon as you start, plan on watching all the mental objections that rise to the surface. Don’t fight them, just be aware. It may sound like, “but they are doing it to themselves”, “I would never do it like that”, or “that is just their lot in life”. The ego naturally wants to distance itself from any harm. It’s psychologically natural to blame the victim. No one wants to think it could happen to them. Don’t judge yourself, just be aware of what comes up.

The important part is this: Don’t stop! If the resistance becomes overwhelming, take a break, and return to this exercise when you’re ready. I promise it gets easier with practice.

Once you can quiet the mind enough to release objections and judgements, really imagine what it’s like to live that life. Try to think their thoughts. Try to understand their actions. Really walk a mile in their shoes. For some of you, this mental side of empathy will take repeated practice for it to become a natural response. For others, it will bring such a wave of emotion, you will immediately want to rebuild that mental wall. Please don’t. The emotional side subsides, and leads you to compassion.

Why should this be a practice at all? Because we are heading full speed into Unity Consciousness. This is practice, preparation, and assisting the evolution of humanity. This skill can be taught as young as 3 or 4 years of age. When teaching children, use examples to imagine: Imagine a friend runs up to you and says, “I’m so happy to see you!” does that make you feel good or bad? Imagine a friend comes to you and says, “Oh no, not you again!” does that make you feel good or bad? Then turn it around, by asking how that friend might feel if the child said those things. This gets children talking about feelings, and raising awareness of what they bring to the table. EQ.

Practice it, teach it, live it. There is only one of us here. We have taken individuality as far as it can go into separation and solitude. It’s time to come back together as One. It’s time for empathy on purpose.

Re-blog: * The Three Brains *

NathaJay's avatarWalking In Both Worlds

Quick energy update: Hang in there! It’s been a squirrelly month, and a really tough week. Everything is moving in the right direction, regardless of outside appearances. I personally have slept more this month than I ever thought possible, while many of my friends have been ridiculously busy. We are all integrating the new light codes exactly as we need to.  Be gentle with yourself and others right now. Self-care and self-love are the best things at the moment. I have been working on my next Level II Merkaba class, and the three brains is part of it. Just something to ponder (and distract you from the havoc)…

The Mystery Schools (and now science) tell us that not everything is controlled by the brains in our skulls. In fact, we have three distinct centers of function: The brain, the heart, and the gut. Science acknowledges the cellular significance, while the…

End of an Era

It seems odd to say, with so very much going on in the world, that 3D reality has come to an end, but here we are. The energetic support for the experiment called ‘ego’ has dissolved completely. Egos will continue to run on momentum, some with greater momentum than others, but it will be a brief and exhausting endeavor.

If you have followed me for any length of linear time, you know my work centers around the ego, and how to train it to support our growth. I’m not saying to give up on that work, only that it will naturally come to an end, as the ego is incorporated into your own light. This is a very different kind of work, involving self-love and surrender to your own Higher Self.

My time on this planet has shown me, repeatedly, that I’m not unique, just early. Yes, we are all unique expressions of Divine Light, but I mean that I am at the front of a wave of change. I’m not part of the forerunners (thank the gods!), but I’m at the start of the first big wave, maybe 20% of the population. The majority isn’t far behind. My whole life has been lived here, on the crest of this wave, so what’s happening to me now is headed for us all, shortly. I write to help us all prepare, and mostly to assure you, you aren’t alone.

It’s hard to describe the dissolving ego, but hopefully you can make some sense of my attempt. It comes as a series of epiphanies, first shocking, then freeing. With each one I can clearly see how the old belief was limiting me. At that point, the entire idea goes away. No struggle, no reprogramming, just “ah-ha!” and it’s done. I think we’ve all experienced something like this at some point, but this feels totally different. It’s like a sudden release… like holding your breath underwater, followed by the freedom of breaking through the surface and breathing again. It brings a sense of joy and expansion.

One of my personal epiphanies has been about other people’s choices. A friend told me once that we’re all just bumper cars, running into each other at exactly the right time to slightly change the trajectory of both. I have always liked that analogy, but I suddenly understood it from the view of an oversoul. An oversoul is one being, living about 300,000 separate human lives. From that perspective, the oversoul is gaining experiences from everything we all do, no matter how hard it is to watch from the ego level.

This knowledge gives me the freedom to watch the stories people create as part of a large book of experience. Now I can watch without worry. This is a big thing for me. Not only no worry, but also admiration for their willingness to create their story, no matter how complicated it is. I am honored to be a witness, and relieved of all duty to become involved. Freedom.

For those working up to this level of freedom – please remember your boundaries. Just because all paths are beautiful from above, doesn’t mean you can drop all personal boundaries. Not yet. I don’t feel I will need to be as on guard at this point, but I also don’t feel like leaving a bad situation would be a challenge. If it isn’t a challenge, it isn’t likely to happen. Challenge is a learning opportunity, and we are here to learn.

Along with the epiphanies, there is a distinct change in my view of death. I’ve always been more comfortable with death than most, but now it seems like a very thin veil, indeed. I’ve even had dreams of practicing dying, and melting into the void. They are quite peaceful and freeing. I’ve had quite a few training sessions in my life during dreamtime, but never how to die. Strange, but also liberating. Like the true freedom of choice has been restored.

The last thing, which seems really odd to me, is that my emotions are right at the surface. I have been told I’m emotional as a Vulcan, so this one’s new. When I’m happy, I’m really happy. When I’m sad, I cry easily and openly. I have a full array of emotion, but after it’s expressed, it’s gone. There is no story to dwell on, and keep the chemicals of emotion pumping.

I guess the point is just to allow the next step, and know that it won’t be everyone at once. We are all adding our story to the whole, as we move into unity consciousness. Honor your place as a witness to the end of an era. Most of all, know you aren’t alone.

Re-post: Ego

Ego

Such a misunderstood creature, the ego. So many teachings telling us to suppress it, or conquer it, or otherwise annihilate it, when it’s really a very useful thing to have while you’re being human. Your ego is not the bad guy, but believing you are your ego is a dangerous business.

Your skin serves as a bag for your body, and an interface to the physical world. It’s nice to have skin, but you know it’s temporary; when your body dies, your skin goes with it. Your ego serves as a bag for your psyche, your emotions and thoughts, and as an interface with other people (or at least other people’s egos). The ego is also temporary and dies with the body. The problem we’re having is that we tend to believe we are our thoughts and emotions, instead of the more accurate description that we are experiencing thoughts and emotions. Our ego is just the lens we experience the world though, it is adaptable and changeable, and quite temporary.

Your ego is a valuable tool, once you realize it isn’t who you are. You can work with it, and change it to suit your goals. Never treat it as the enemy, because it is an intrinsic part of being human, and it’s a fabulous thing to have while you’re here. Psychologically, losing your ego would be akin to physically losing your skin. You can live through it, but it sure makes it hard to function in this world. It’s just better to form a partnership.

The ego is responsible for building the stories we collectively call our life. When we come across something new, the ego always tries to fit it into a pre-existing storyline. Here’s where we hit a snag – the new information may have nothing to do with the old story, but the ego will find a way to make it fit. For example, a friend doesn’t call when they said they would. If your existing storyline is into martyrdom and self-pity, your brain automatically goes into “this always happens to me”, judging and projecting and wallowing, when in reality, your friend had some kind of minor emergency and simply forgot. Human drama ensues.

The most effective way to work with the ego is detachment, and that is accomplished through awareness. Instead of being consumed by your reactions, step outside yourself and observe. When you start down that same old road of self-pity, mentally step back, and just be aware you are watching your ego at work. “Oh look, there’s the martyr script again.” Once you can disengage from being the story, then you can start creating a new story. “I hope everything is okay with my friend. I’ll send a text and go on with my day.”

Is this an easy process? Nope, especially not in the beginning, but it gets easier over time. For an extra helping hand there are several effective techniques to accelerate the process, like EMDR, PSYCH-K, EFT, and others, but nothing takes the place of awareness. Only you can create a new version of yourself, and you must be present to do so.

So if you aren’t your thoughts and emotions, who are you? You are the observer, the part of you that can watch your life without being consumed by it. Everyone is part human and part Divine, part ego and part Spirit, and it is an ever-fluctuating mixture. When the ego takes up too much room, then we feel the lack of Spirit, resulting in all kinds of misery and mis-creation. The ego isn’t inherently bad, we’ve just given it way more power than is healthy. You are not your stories.

Understanding and recognizing the ego is essential to developing your intuition. As information arrives intuitively, the untrained ego will automatically try to bend it to be consistent with your current stories, even if it is totally unrelated. The image that comes to mind is the crotchety old woman reading tarot cards, and always predicting doom and gloom, not because it’s there, but because it fits her own worldview.  You need to know your own ego filters to minimize contamination of your intuition. We talk ourselves out of following our intuition daily because of the authority we give our ego’s stories.

Awareness is the beginning of detachment. Be aware of your thoughts. Play with interrupting thought patterns that no longer serve. Start to identify as the observer. And above all else, know that you aren’t your stories.

*The Quickening Creation*

Suddenly, everything is speeding up. Things are changing with every breath, and our awareness increases to witness it. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the creators in action, and in training. So how best can we use this time? What will we choose to create? More importantly, how do we direct this energy efficiently? Let’s explore creating in a new way.

This time isn’t about doing, it’s about being. So, throw out those “to-do” lists, and turn your free will focus inward. The foundation of a creation is the feeling of it. Most of us want peace, love, and joy, but the brain is programmed to find lack. We want peace, but see all the division in the world. We want love, but have a history of unloving experiences. We want joy, but have had to struggle in life. That’s why it’s so important to keep the focus inward, and remain fully present, in the current moment.

1 – Open the heart with gratitude for something currently in your life. Be grateful for your health, or your home, or your support system, or your pets, or anything that you already have. This is an important practice to do everyday. It keeps you close to that open-heart space, which is the space of creation.

2 – Now, start to dream of things that bring you joy. It doesn’t need to be practical or reasonable, in fact it shouldn’t. You don’t want your mind getting in the way with a plan of action. Find things that generate warmth in the heart, regardless of outward limitations. Visualize these things, and let the feeling fill your body. This makes you a vibrational match. Let your creation find its own way to you.

3 – Return your awareness to the present moment. As in the first step, feel gratitude for your current surroundings. Hold this feeling for as long as you can. As you continue through your day, return to this space, and this practice, as often as possible.

There are two pitfalls to be wary of:  First, never become discouraged that your dream isn’t your current reality. By doing this, your vibration drops into lack, and it negates the work. Stay in gratitude.  Second, don’t stay stuck in the dream, and forget to be fully present and grateful for your current existence. Living in a dreamworld is just denial. Denial keeps us from being fully present, thus our creation never becomes fully present.

Also, keep in mind that the “how” isn’t up to us. By creating in this way, the Higher Self moves the pieces on the board specifically to bring you into contact with your vibrational match. If you do this practice, and suddenly get a divorce, just know that relationship wasn’t compatible with your highest dreams. Let go of how it looks on the outside. Everything is happening for you, not to you.

We are all in training. You cannot do this wrong. You can be more efficient or less efficient, but you can’t mess it up. We all get better with practice. There is actually quite a lot of “doing” here, as it requires your mental focus. It may be exhausting at first, but you will build stamina as you go. It’s like a marathon – it requires training. Keep at it. It will put you in the creator’s seat.

If you have no idea what you want, or what to dream, dream for the world… world peace, brotherly love, grace, ease, and joy. Try the Metta Prayer:
May all beings everywhere be happy and free, and may my thoughts, words, and actions contribute in some way to happiness and freedom for all.”
Put your energy into service for the whole. Or as a good friend reminds me, “Use your powers for good.”

It’s time. We were built for this. Let’s create a New World with this quickening.

Blending Energies

Has anyone else noticed how the polarity of belief is starting to blend? Here in the USA, we have very polarized beliefs associated with politics, and the poles are well defined. Or, they used to be. Now it’s common to see people with strong political affiliation leaving the group narrative, on just a few subjects (for now). It’s encouraging, but strange. The same thing is happening within.

From the internal experience, it’s like an energetic roller coaster. One minute in total bliss, the next terrified for no reason. A few days ago, I think I experienced every possible emotion at least twice. This is quite unusual for me, and my Vulcan non-emotional baseline. The same with my physical body – one minute I feel fantastic, the next I wake from a two-hour nap.

This may be how we dissolve the obvious timeline split. By letting each run through my body, without taking hold, all experiences are complete… like an electrical charge going to ground. The key is to let them pass without holding on. No stories, just flow. All the crazy emotions and physical symptoms aren’t necessarily yours. Let it go, see what stays. I always return to my blissful baseline, but sometimes it takes a few days.

How best to cope? Devotional self-care. Feel what you feel. Mentally stay positive. Seems like opposite instructions, but it isn’t. When I feel my body go into fight-or-flight, I use my mind to thank my body for all its workings in handling the situation. If I try to suppress the feeling, it only gets stronger. If I create a story to support the emotion, it will stay until I release the story. You can feel terrified, fully feel and acknowledge it, and still mind your mind. Mental mastery.

This goes for physical symptoms, as well. My throat chakra has been doing a thing for about a week. I’m assuming it’s an upgrade. It comes with all the associated throat chakra things – sinus issues, neck pain, difficulty swallowing, etc. I’m sure I’ll know if it becomes an issue for Western medicine. For the most part, I cheer my body on, and support it with diet, exercise, and sleep.

I haven’t been writing as much, because this is a full-time job. Exhausting, is probably the best term. I follow Sandra Walter, and she has a free weekly newsletter that I love. Give it a try, for more regular updates.

I plan for the energies to keep blending, as the poles soften. Keep balanced, and let it flow, without making it personal. We are all loved and supported… always. We were built for this.

* Contrary Teachers *

It would be fabulous to always learn from the good examples shown by our closest tribe, but it just doesn’t always work that way. I have had some brilliant lessons bestowed by gentle observation of role models, but many of my deeper lessons come from contrary teachers. You know, those people who show you exactly what you want to avoid in the future. Those who show us who we don’t want to be, and how not to behave.

In my life, knowing what I don’t want is usually more valuable than knowing what I do want. Why? Knowing what I don’t want eliminates a few possibilities, while allowing an open door for what comes in next. Thinking I know exactly what I want is limited to my past experiences. My Higher Self has a much better idea of what will make me happy, and I don’t want to limit that.

Some of my greatest teachers have been the ones showing me how not to do it. I had a friend for years who always kept me on-path, just by being so far off-path. She always showed me the hardest way to do everything, thereby allowing me to avoid it. A friend? Of course! Knowing it’s wrong for me isn’t the same as thinking it’s wrong for another.

Discernment and judgement are very different. Discernment is knowing what’s right for you. Judgement is wondering why everyone else isn’t taking the same path. It’s a subtle, but powerful, distinction. It takes practice to stay on the discernment side. I have to remind myself all the time ‘not my circus, not my monkeys’. Only my path is my business.

Looking at the world stage in 2020 give us a multitude of contrary teachers, both personally and collectively. We get to witness people drowning in fear, and leading with hate. We get close-ups of all the options we don’t want. Don’t mistake this for the world going to hell in a hand basket. Look at it as a whole bunch of contrary teachings. Some of the things I have decided not to be: fearful, close-minded, hardhearted, and stubborn. And you know what? I can cross those off my list, and still keep the door open to other possibilities.

This has also been happening in my personal life. People show up, just to show me what I don’t want. Then others show up to show me what I do want. It’s like jumping from an icy river to a warm natural spring. The difference is so striking, I can’t miss it. Sometimes I need to be hit with the extremes to get my full attention. I think this is what’s really happening to all of us, at this point. Reality is just wanting our full attention, so we can more forward with awareness.

We now get to create with the conscious mind, instead of the subconscious. We are always creating, and our subconscious creation isn’t so pretty. No worries. We get to experience the extremes, and make a conscious choice. Conscious creation. That’s what we came for. Just look at your contrary teachers, and decide how not to behave. We got this.

* Listening *

So many voices crying out, but who is listening? Doesn’t finding your voice require being heard? When you are fully heard, isn’t it healing? Listening is a sacred and healing act. When people feel heard, they can then sit silently with the knowledge their voice made it someone’s ears. Communication doesn’t happen until it is received by another.

A true healer, regardless of modality, allows the person to heal by being fully present. Healing happens when one is fully seen, fully heard, and accepted without judgement. Want to heal the world? Stop and listen. Most people only listen enough to reply not to understand, let alone empathize. You don’t need to agree in order to fully hear someone. It’s okay to let people be where they are, without trying to correct them. Lead by example.

Accepting without judging is a mastery level skill, and takes constant work to stay there. Just start with listening. If your beliefs are solid, then listening to another perspective is no threat to your own reality… plus, you may even learn something new. The biggest benefit is that the other person feels heard, so they can then heal whatever is bothering them.

Practice listening without a response. Or keep your response to repeating their concepts back to them… “So, what you’re saying is… ” Practice this first with people who share your beliefs, before you go into the fray of division playing out. I’m not suggesting you start the conversation, but if you enter it, listening is the way to allow healing to happen.

Then, probably with your inner circle, be sure you are being heard. Be sure someone is there, not to further shore up your opinions, but to listen deeply to your true concerns. It’s okay to find new people to talk to who can hear you deeply. It’s okay to outgrow others. Let people be where they are, and keep moving. We all have different paths, and you will always be drawn to those at your level. You get to choose to hang on to the old, or let go and flow in to the new.

Not being heard has been quite the theme in my life for a couple months, and it’s maddening. It took me a while to pin down what was really happening, and then a while longer to figure out how to handle it. People can only know you as deeply as they know themselves. Likewise, people can only hear you as deeply as they hear themselves. Out of sheer habit, I was surrounding myself with people who couldn’t hear me. I have shifted that, and now I am feeling heard. Suddenly, I don’t have as much to say because of it. Communication has happened.

Listening also provides us with the rich opportunity to learn. Even though we think we have set beliefs, we always evolve over time. The ability to incorporate new information and ideas is the beauty of the open and evolving mind. Stay teachable, you aren’t always right. Mental flexibility keeps you young and growing. Listen to heal, then listen to learn. By listening, we get a glimpse into a whole new reality. Keep listening, and heal the world.

“When Someone Deeply Listens to You
it is like holding out a dented cup
you’ve had since childhood
and watching it fill up with
cold, fresh water.
When it balances on top of the brim,
you are understood.
When it overflows and touches your skin,
you are loved.
When someone deeply listens to you
the room where you stay
starts a new life
and the place where you wrote
your first poem
begins to glow in your mind’s eye.
It is as if gold has been discovered!
When someone deeply listens to you
your bare feet are on the earth
and a beloved land that seemed distant
is now at home within you.”
